Is corn on the cob safe food??
I itched like maniacs after eating home made corn on the cob last night. Please tell.
Also I want to know if mango and goats milk(pasteurised and homogenised) are safe?
thankx

Hello Sandy,
Corn is on the list of foods to avoid & not in the new diet list, particularly if the corn is not organic it may well be heavily sprayed and from a strain of GM corn. I certainly avoid any conventionally grown like the plague, have had blisters break out on my lips & in my mouth from it. Love fresh from the field corn on the cob, but only indulge once a year when a trusted organic grower has some available.
Mango appears in the new diet list of safe fruit. However it is in the same family as cashew & both will, for many make arthritic pain & stiffness worsen.
I haven't seen Goat's milk in either list, however if a person goes dairy free, that is still milk. People who have an intolerance to cow's milk, but in the beginning not goat's milk often go on to develop reactions to the goat's milk too.
your welcome

Hi Sandy,
I'm wondering -- did you have butter and salt on the corn? If so, was it salted butter? I'm just wondering how salt may affect arthritis, and I don't trust pasteurized cow dairy. I use raw goat's milk.

good questions...
Pasteurization does change the molecular structure of the proteins, reportedly making them less digestible.

I am not allergic to milk ,any type. So Can I drink goats milk which is pasteurised ?

Hi Sandy, I know this is a difficult and often confusing time for any of us with challenges to our health, and especially as we make every effort to adopt a diet perhaps very disimilar to the one we've grown up with. It becomes extremely difficult to say absolutely, that one food or an other is appropriate or not for one individual. None of us are medical doctors or other accredited Health Care Providers, at best through years of our own experimentation, reading, trial & error we've learned what -for the most part - will work.

Most important is to heed what your body trying to tell you.
So please take note if any foods make you feel sick stop eating them, learn to listen what your body is telling you. No one else can tell you.

In general:
USE FRESH UNPROCESSED FOOD AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Organic if possible is best.
BE AWARE OF WHAT GOES INTO THE PROCESSED FOODS YOU ARE EATING. A useful publication is "The New Additive Code Breaker by Maurice Hanssen" (Lothian press) available at most book stores.
